A father and son missed their bus to a football match, and Twitter stepped in to help

D’aw.

YOU CAN ALWAYS rely on Twitter to help out a man in need.

Twitter user @Dan_EFC1878 and his son were due to go to this afternoon’s FA Cup semi-final between Everton and Manchester United.

Unfortunately, the coach that was due to transport them to London never showed up.

He posted this heartbreaking photo of his son and revealed that they were heading home, dejected and disappointed.

But then something magic happened. Virgin Trains tweeted at the pair to say that they would endeavor to get them on another service.

So that was the travel sorted.

But they still needed a ticket. Fortunately, offers flooded in.

And soon he was sorted.

But it didn’t end there. Everton also got in touch with the pair and invited them as guests on their FanZone stage.

While boxer and fellow Everton fan Tony Bellew also got in touch to offer the pair two tickets to his bout in Goodison Park in May.

All’s well that ends well, eh?

Lesson here? Never underestime the power of Twitter.
